Humayun’s Tomb, Delhi: A beautiful Mughal Heritage

There are so many beautiful and marvelous tourist attractions in the city of New Delhi. Today Delhi is considered as one of the historical capital of entire world. After the death of Humayun, his senior widow Haji Begum built Humayun’s Tomb in 1565 A.D.  As per the report of historians, humayun is the second emperor of India. Inside the walled enclosure of the Humayun’s Tomb the most notable features are the garden squares (chaharbagh) with pathways water channels, centrally located well proportional mausoleum topped by double dome. It is the first Indian building to use the Persian double dome. You can see the beautiful Ceiling decoration within Humayun’s Tomb. It is one of the remarkable features of the Delhi Humayun’s Tomb. You can see the buries of the Many of Humayun’s relatives within the mausoleum. The tomb is built using white and black marble. The inlay work of the marbles was used to create designs. It is enveloped by a beautiful garden, the features of which had inspired the designs of Taj Mahal.

As per the measurement the height of the tomb is 47mt and wide is 300 feet (91m). Visit this magnificent Mughal monument and explore the beauty of the tomb. Indian Monument Attractions: Keshava Temple, Somnathpur

The Keshava Temple is one of the major temples in somnathpur village. Somnathpur is a tiny village which is located on the left bank of the river kaveri. This was founded by somnath, commander of the h Hoyasala army. Somnathpur village is situated near to Mysore district. Keshava Temple was built in somnathpur in the year of 1268. It is one of the oldest temples, 740 years before it was built. It is built using stones. The external wall of the temples has beautiful sculpture of Vishnu. And there are other 194 idols images also. Mythological characters of Hindu’s are sculptures on the wall of this marvelous temple. Visit this great Indian Monument Attractions. There are three sanctum of the idol of Lord Keshava, Lord Janardhana and Lord Venugopala. The temple is built in using hoyasala style; there for it is an example of Hoyasala architecture it is also called as cradle of stone architecture. Where the temple is designed as a mini cosmos with scenes carved on the walls including Gods, Goddesses, dancing girls, musicians, gurus and all kinds of animals including elephants, lions, cows and monkeys. The keshava temple is built on an elevated star shaped platform.

The beautiful breathtaking keshava temple is a Trikuta temple. This is dedicated to Lord Krishna in his three forms and the names are already discussed above. Unfortunately one of the idols of lord keshava was missing here, and the other two idols Lord Venugopala and Lord Janardhana are damaged here. At the entrance of Keshava Temple calligraphy written on the stone tablets here. At the temple, the outer walls of keshava temple are decorated with a series of star-shaped folds and the entire surface of temple is covered with carved stone plaques. The walls above the plinth are also carved with exquisite figures of gods and goddesses, taken from the Hindu puranas, and meticulously arranged in vertical panels. Indian Monument Attractions – Qutab Minar

Qutub minar is one of the famous and beautiful monuments of india. It is started builting in 1193 by Sultan Qutb-ud-din Aibak also called “Lakh Baksh Sultan” or “giver of hundred thousands” because of his generous nature. Qutbuddin Aibak was a very good builder. He constructed security towers, tax posts, check posts and a few of the forts in the most important cities of his empire to avoid loots and plunderings. He also initiated the construction of Delhi’s earliest Muslim monuments. The beautiful indian monument attractions  minar was surronded by full of green garden. This minar is having height of 72.5 metres or 238 ft. The diameter of minar is 14.32m at the base and about 2.75m on the top.  Every year billionf of peoples arround the world are visiting this place. This monument is located at Mehrauli in the southern part of the city, which is in delhi.  The beautiful minar has 5 storey. Qutab-ud-din Aibak has builted only the first story and the rest of the four storeys are builted by his son in law and successor.This minar is an example for  Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture. There are 379 steps are in minar and it is one of the Highest stone tower in India. There is a door on the northern side, leading inside the tower to a spiral stairway with 379 steps that winds its way up to the balcony in each floor and culminating in a platform at the top. honey combing is a special feature of the minar. October to march is the best months to visit and you can enjoy these place till sunrise to sunset. This indian monument attractions is made up of It is all red sandstone, except for the top, which is made of white marble. The qutab minar description is fully writtern in islamic character from top to bottom. It looks great. But today peoples are not allowed to go inside the qutab minar, because the staircase inside the tower has been closed following an accident in early 1980’s when a party of school girls panicked when the lights failed and a stampede led to a number of deaths. For this reason peoples are not allowed to go inside the minar.

The builder of the great indian monument attractions qutub minar ,Sultan Qutbuddin aibak died accidentally while he was playing a game of polo in Lahore on horseback (polo aka chougan in India) in 1210., his horse fell and the sultan was impaled on the the raised area at the front of an equestrian saddle. And He was buried near the Anarkali bazaar in Lahore.
